Our brand name was created at the end of 2015 in Russia. Everything started with Japanese Tea Ceremony and the confectionery, that was served, has charmed us with their beauty and texture. At that time we had a strong desire to open a Wagashi shop with our own brandname. And the word ‘Tsubasa’ has come to us. ‘Tsubasa’ means ‘wings’ in Japanese. It emphasizes the meaning – ‘To attach wings to your dreams and fly’.
Since 2015 we have been participating in different events in Moscow, Russia, such as J-Fest in 2016 – 2019, exhibition ‘Nihon-no-bi – Beauty of Japan’ in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022, ‘Grand Japanese Tea ceremony’ on March of 22nd-24th, 2019 ect.
During 2021-2022 different workshops of Wagashi were held by us. In these workshops we have shown how to make different types of Wagashi such as nerikiri, ukishima (bean cake), yaki-imo (baked sweets), ohagi, sakura-mochi etc.
Along with handmade wagashi we belong to one of the Japanese tea ceremony schools – Omotesenke. We have been practicing the tradition of Omotesenke since 2013. Trang has received the tea name ‘Sou Shuku’ since the year of 2022, and has acquaired the 6th tea diploma ‘Daitenmoku’ in 2023. Together we have organized different events of tea ceremony.
Since 2023 we have decided to relocate our brand to Hanoi, Vietnam. We wish to bring you into the world of Japanese beauty and elegance.
