Description
Inoko-mochi is a mochi type Wagashi that represents the wild boar. In Japan wild boar’s natural element is water that defies the fire. This sweet is usually served in November, when the weather is really cold, and in traditional japanese tea room has started to use the hearth ‘Ro’ that is in the hole of tatami. Since the charcoal is close to tatami, the possibility of fire is quite high. So with the wish of no fire during ‘Ro’ season, Inoko-mochi is served.
